| Abstract |
In order to stop the spread of paratuberculosis in 2 goat flocks (I,II) a control program was established and followed for 2 years. Prior to establishment of the "Test and Cull" control program both flocks demonstrated similar prevalences of paratuberculosis: 6.39% and 4.89% respectively. Subsequently, flock II demonstrated a significant decrease (alpha=0.01) in its prevalence of paratuberculosis. In flock I the paratuberculosis prevalence increased significantly (alpha=0.01). Because of the increasing prevalence in flock I, a vaccination program was adopted.
